CSC announced that passers who got at least 80 percent score will be eligible for the first and second level positions in the civil service provided the eligibles meet the qualifications and other requirements of the positions (education, experience, and training).

The CSC said that 157,041, comprising 86.92% of the total number of examinees took the Professional level of examination while the rest tried to hurdle the Sub-Professional test.
The CSC said that in the 56 testing centers nationwide, Southern Tagalog (Region IV) has the biggest number of examinees at 26,509 or 14.67 percent of the total number of examinees. The National Capital Region (NCR) followed with 25,430 examinees, comprising 14.07 percent. Other regions with considerable turnout of examinees include Zamboanga Peninsula (Region IX) with 12,097 examinees; Western Visayas (Region VI) with 11,993; Central Luzon (Region III) with 11,796; and Bicol (Region V) with 11,288.
Passers of the the May 2015 CSE-PPT exam must personally claim their Certificates of Eligibility at the CSC Regional Office/Field Office upon presentation of required documents. On the other hand, those who failed the examination may secure a copy of their Report of Rating through the CSC website. No Report of Rating shall be mailed to those who failed. To secure a copy of the Report of Rating, an examinee must key in his/her name, date of birth, examinee number, examination date, and examination type. Thus, examinees are advised to safe keep or remember their examinee number until receipt of the examination result.
The CSE-PPT is a general ability test designed to measure an individual’s preparedness to enter government service.
There are two levels of CSE-PPT, for the professional and sub-professional. Three-hour test for the professional level includes vocabulary, grammar and correct usage, paragraph organization, reading comprehension, analogy, logic, and numerical reasoning (English and Filipino). For the latter, exam coverage is almost the same with the inclusion of clerical operations instead of analogy and logic and timed for 2.5 hours.
Questions for both examination levels include general information on the Philippine Constitution, the Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees (R.A. 6713), peace and human rights issues and concepts, and environment management and protection.
Results of the CSE-PPT are usually released in forty-five (45) days after the exam.
On April 6, 2014 exam, results became available on May 19, 2014 or in 26 workings days (equivalent to 43 calendar days) after the day of exam. Meanwhile, official results of October 2014 CSE-PPT were released also in less than 2 months from the date of examination or in 44 calendar days.
