PCSO To Be Abolish?

Duterte to push for abolition of  most corrupt  agency PCSO which is losing billions of pesos every day to jueteng lords.

President Rodrigo Duterte said he would push for the abolition of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) ‎if the ex-generals fail to stop the billions of pesos in small town lottery (STL) revenues going to the pockets of jueteng lords.

In a speech Tuesday night, Duterte said that the PCSO’s STL had been taken over by the criminals they were supposed to displace – jueteng lords – under the previous administration where it’s top management agreed to take only a fractions of the daily bet collections.

“The PCSO, it’s the most corrupt agency in government. Alam mo ang ginawa nila ‘yung small time lotto, pinasok nila ang jueteng. And there was agreement with government na sila na ang magpatakbo to get a commission,” said Duterte.

“As (it) turned out, nilaglag nila 20 percent lang. Ito lang ang kinita ng gobyerno. ‘Yan ‘yung kanila. Pumunta sa bulsa nila.

Billions of pesos everyday,” added Duterte.

Duterte said this was reason why he appointed “berdugo” or executioners to clean up PCSO – former Marine general Alexander Balutan as general manager and former Police chief superintendent Jose Jorge Corpuz as chair.

“I hope things will improve. But sinabi ko you make a study if I am not satisfied that it can really prevent corruption, I will recommend for the abolition of the PCSO,” said Duterte.
