Betting the Lotto

A friend asks me a question on why people bet the lotto?

My answer to him was ... People enjoy the thought of winning the lotto jackpot and thinking never having to work again and having a lot of money. 

It offers a sense of joy because they feel hopeful of winning. 

As the saying goes “you have to be in it to win it”

They motivate people to gamble because they may think to themselves, “well I deserve to win”, “ I have a good feeling about my numbers”. 

But some people always forget that there are no strategies in picking numbers because it’s a random draw.
