The sole winner of GrandLotto 6/55 drawn on August 30, 2021, went to PCSO Main Office in Mandaluyong City to claim his jackpot prize of P120,063,346.80.
The new millionaire is single, 41 years of age, and a government employee in Cebu City.
He presented the lucky ticket with the winning combination of 3-5-7-13-25-28 and some identification documents.
According to him, he had been betting these numbers for 13 years because these are all combinations of his parent and sibling’s birthdates.
He bought the winning ticket in one of the Lotto outlets in Mandaue City, Cebu.
The winner plans to use his winnings for the treatment of his mother to regain full recovery.
He said their life changed dramatically when his mother suffered a cardiovascular stroke in 2016.
He also intends to continue his investment in a Mutual Fund that he had been neglected due to financial constraints brought about by the pandemic, pay off all debts and the rest could be put on a time deposit.
Under the Tax Reform Acceleration and Inclusion (TRAIN) Law, a 20% tax will automatically be deducted to the jackpot prize.
